Kurilpa Futures is a catalyst for positive change. Supporting community members by encouraging them to be informed and involved in decisions about their community. We advocate for a planning process that genuinely consults with the community. To deliver outcomes that place people and the built and natural environments at its heart.
In a time of unprecedented growth and rapid change there is a critical need for well informed policy making that supports a healthy population by:
- Growing essential services, parkland and safe public spaces
- Managing the risks faced by climate extremes
- Preserving and enhancing our community’s unique character and quality of life
Issues such as these are not unique to the Kurilpa Peninsula. These challenges are shared by neighbourhoods across Brisbane. We collaborate and assist other community organisations wherever possible to help achieve these aims. Done properly, good city planning is a tool that enriches the lives of our residents and visitors.
