18th March, 2018 – As a result of a successful grant application to the Gabba Ward Participatory Budget process, and 2 years of planning, Kurilpa Futures, together with the residents of Tangara and John Mongard and his team, on Saturday completed stage 2 of verge planting on the corner of Sussex Street and Brighton Road, Highgate Hill.
Stage 1: On the 4th February preparation was undertaken in the verge area.

Stage 2: On the 17th March planting of almost 2000 plants was completed by our team of volunteers.

Stage 3: Residents of Tangara have formed a roster to make sure the gardens are watered until they are well established.
